As the oldest crib mattress
manufacturer in America, we understand the concerns of parents with regard to health and safety matters. Expectant parents have a wealth of information at their fingertips thanks to the web and can research infant products in greater detail than ever before. Unfortunately, not all of the information out there is accurate or even up-to-date. That’s why we have compiled what we believe is some useful information to help parents’ make an informed decision and feel confident about their ultimate purchase whether it’s one of our products or one of our competitors’. We encourage you to call or email us if you have additional questions or concerns.
Colgate’s product line of crib mattresses
have been awarded the GREENGUARD Children and Schools certification for indoor air quality. The Children and Schools certification, GREENGUARD’s strictest standard, was designed for products used in daycare, K-12 and healthcare facilities and address the unique sensitivities of children and other sensitive population groups. This standard places additional limits on chemicals that are known to adversely affect child development.
Colgate, popularly known as the crib mattress specialist, has been manufacturing foam and innerspring crib mattresses

“We are very pleased that all of Colgate’s crib mattresses
have earned the GREENGUARD certification” stated Alan Wolkin, president of Colgate. “Through the decades, Colgate’s high quality standards have always included consideration of what is best for baby and it gratifies us to know that we did not have to change the way we make any of our mattresses in order for them to pass the GREENGUARD standards.”
