Dennis Wolkin, chief operating officer at Colgate Mattress Atlanta Corp. received the 2016 "Faces of Manufacturing” Award, an initiative of the Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership (GaMEP) at Georgia Tech. A third-generation crib mattress maker, Wolkin was selected from hundreds of nominees across the state for his contributions to the manufacturing sector and its impact on Georgia’s economy. Family, friends, employees and several distinguished guests attended a private ceremony at Colgate’s factory in Atlanta. “It’s certainly an honor to be recognized, but the Faces of Manufacturing award is mine in name only,” Wolkin said. “This accolade really belongs to the amazing employees who show up to work at the Colgate factory every day. From the front office and sales to the loading dock – our success would not be possible without their commitment to excellence.”
